Trump is a symptom of something systemically wrong with your entire society. If this leadership is the end product of the American system then it is your problem and your fault and you should either try to do something about it or stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Trump won the 2024 election by a hair, once again running against a woman who was an awful campaigner. He is no reflection of America as a whole. He was even kicked out by US voters in 2020.

      • Trump (2024) - 77,303,568 - 49.81%
      • Harris (2024) - 75,019,230 - 48.34%

Yeah IDK why so many Americans are afraid to admit that Trump is merely a symptom of the depraved and corrupt society that created him. The American people, and American culture are the problem. It’s not like anyone invaded and installed Trump as a puppet, our dumb asses elected him out of foolishness or greed. Social change is the only way to fix this long term, and I don’t see that happening because nobody is willing to do any retrospection on what really caused Trump to take power.

But this time quite possibly for good. He did promise his followers that this would be the last time they have to vote after all.

I think you’re basing your hatred on a misunderstanding of how American society works, coupled with a lack of understanding of power dynamics.

The poor and middle class are not to blame for our own oppression, even if it’s our responsibility to either make change or survive in bad circumstances.

Your choice of words, “The American system,” hints at a worldview that is fundamentally at odds with material reality, and it’s frankly a lot to unpack. You’re viewing me as a participant in “the American system,” but this is a basically non existent concept which exists in propaganda. Most Americans cannot and have not ever been able to meaningfully participate in politics in the way you’re probably alluding to. You’re in Europe, right? I might be basing my own assumptions on bullshit propaganda as well, but I find it hard to believe that you don’t entirely know what I’m talking about.

edit: I’m not trying to be shitty but phrase “the American system” reminds me of the corny Broadway musical where they made Alexander Hamilton Pureto Rican and handsome instead of white and gross looking
