Do I think Maduro is a great guy? No, of course not. Does that mean I think the US action in Venezuela is justified? Definitely not. This isn’t about Maduro, it’s about the US going into another country kidnapping someone just because he’s in the way of their interests.
What if the next time it’s someone you don’t think is an arsehole? Who decides how much of an arsehole someone needs to be for the US to kidnap that person and for you to be ok with that?
I don’t think this is a matter of being OK with it to anyone. It’s more a matter of there barely being any positive real-world effects of a condemnation, and plenty of negative ones. (Which is not to say I wouldn’t have liked a condemnation, but I’m just not sure what it would have brought us.)
