At the end of the day… in a 1v1, I like to think USA would legitimately eradicate any country it fought. The problem here is, the way we are treating the rest of the world… when a fight eventually does fully break out, it won’t be 1v1… and in that scenario, shit can get wild. I’d like to think USA would stand its ground pretty well, might even fuck up a country or 2. But to think we could do it without incurring any sort of loss of our own is just plain silly. I think at a certain point the rest of the world is going to get sick of our shit, and that point might be a lot closer than any of us would like to admit. I’m not sure what’s gonna happen, but it ain’t gonna be fuckin pretty that’s for sure.
Not being a military or strategy educated individual, what I can say is that the US armed forces are not prepared nor geared to long term war of attrition.
The entire doctrine relies on threat of overwhelming force and brutal initial strikes, which actually work, but wars are won in the long run and the US armed forces are not capable of such effort.
The logistics is too complex, too much infrastructure is required to maintain forces supplied and motivated, and the stock from which the common soldier is being pulled is used to or expects a certain degree of comfort.
That is why guerrilla warfare and the forces relying on it are so successful: they are already prepared to live and endure a bad time. They are already predisposed to die. And they usually fight for causes, not barons.
That’s basically what’s meant by ‘in the end, they don’t win’, yeah.
I don’t want to see this happen ay. The US has put out more good than bad. We don’t just lose the mad, bad shit, we’ll lose all the good stuff as well like tech advancements, entertainment, pop culture…it’ll all go and that might be the biggest tragedy of the lot.

The wealthy will find a new country to settle and develop their tech stuff… the country where they pay the least amount of taxes of course.
