The article says several people left the ReVanced team, but doesn’t say why and neither says if that means anything for ReVanced.

Anyone have any info on why people left the ReVanced team? Hadn’t heard about this till now.

You somehow still learned wrong, and I don’t understand how any of that happened. Nvidia not working well with Linux is so widely known and talked about, I knew about it, and the actual reason (which is the reverse of what you think), for several years before switching. I feel like you must have never tried to look anything up, spent any time in a place like lemmy or any forums with a Linux focus and basically must have decided to and kept yourself in some bubble of ignorance and no connection to learn anything.

The original is better because no higher resolution version actually looks like the original. It’s so weird, it’s not hars at all to make a higher res one that’s almost identical to the original yet all the ones I’ve seen just look like shit. I’m gonna take some time tomorrow and make a high resolution version with the details correct.

(Yes, the boneruette is infront of the table outline but that’s the best I could do on my phone, at least I made it look like the baguette pops out of the pants before rising further.)

There are two things that the Internet has taught me: the incredible creativity people have about absolutely everything and the unimaginable levels of stupidity that people have about absolutely everything. Sometimes one of those things only exist because of the other, and that’s hard to process.

It definitely blows inhibitions and also makes do you dumb stuff, but nothing close to this level. I’ve done 8-balls in one night and have done dumb stuff I wouldn’t have done without it, same as doing dumb stuff on alcohol and even weed. But this is so far removed from that, he’d have to have absolutely no idea about the dangers and I really think there must have been someone else who persuaded him in bad faith.

It took way to long to find something decent about this, so many shit articles and videos. I could probably find something better with more time but I gotta sleep, this is the best I could do and it’s good enough IMO.

Spinny stuff is basically the universe on all scales, so it makes sense. And that’s fucking cool, IMO.

It’s not like they come with warranties or some magical immediate money back guarantee. And I doubt they wanted this to be a long term thing, they made their money already and anything happening post that has no effect on that. Money made, that’s it, the people can burn for all they care.

My only worry is the ergonomics of it. They had to cram so much that it looks like the sticks and buttons are too far up while the track pads are too far down. I haven’t used a steam deck, but it does look more comfortable than this controller does. I hope it doesn’t end up with that feeling of nothing being in a really comfortable place (except the triggers and bumpers).

I’ve had that issue in several ways. Of course what you said, had an extension cord with a switch below my desk and I kept accidentally hitting that switch in the same way, lived in an apartment some years ago that had some shitty electrical work done by the previous tenant and if I had enough lamps on while my computer and screen where on and I tried to plug in my phone or turn the TV on the circuit popped, and most recently I’ve been playing games via cloud streaming (Shadow) and my Ethernet cable has lost the security tab thingy on both ends and I keep accidentally moving other cables so they touch the Ethernet cable and it falls out. Most of the time I can just put it back in an reconnect to the cloud computer but sometimes it just refuses to do that so the cloud computer shuts down before I’m able to get it working. Lost several hours of progress in various games throughout the past couple of years, but I never buy anything new unless it’s absolutely needed so I just live with and accept it '^^

From the little I’ve seen (or more had to be exposed to) they are 100% convinced that Lemmy is like 10 people and nothing else exists. They’re so walled in, much of those walls being built by themselves.

On a vaguely related note, reddit has been so deeply shit now for long enough where it has stopped being a good source of info. It used to be such a good place to find just about any info via a search but now the results are just so fucking weird. Trying to find stuff about new-ish games, tech support, recommendations for anything etc. has become so much harder now.
