The source of the map is not provided in the OOP.
I think it’s very likely this map is biased in reporting.
I’ve heard roman coins are really common in some southern regions of italy. Perhaps to the point where finding them isn’t reported, and doesn’t end up on this map.
Ah yes, I’m a tankie because I acknowledge the fact academia is dominated by the west? And therefore western epistemologies are favoured.
I hope people stop using tankie as a meaningless word like in this case. And actually for its original meaning, which is so called “communists” who support the brutal repression of states like the soviet union and china. Which I do not.
Well personally I can’t because I’m functionally deafmute.
But anyways this is all beside my original point which was that published academia doesn’t contain all of human knowledge.
Not every human knowledge is written ;)
All of human knowledge is not encoded into academia.
Academia is heavily western biased.
Well it’s only until fairly recently by some very lucky presevations that we have larger scale evidence of feathers outside a couple species.
And most of it is based on the middle part of the feather. Not the fluffy part that would be more like clothes.
I love to see how massive Arthropoda are compared to Tetrapods (what humans are).
And that’s including anthropocentric species discovery bias.
