I don’t understand. On one side Denmark is abandoning Microsoft in search of “Digital Sovereignty”.
On the other, they sell Dantaxi to Uber so they hold the taxi monopoly in Denmark, and now overwhelmingly vote to let US troops march into Denmark freely.
Can somebody explain what the Danish Government is doing?
Well, the deal about the troops was made before Trump was president. I think this vote was probably on whether or not to stick with it.
Dantaxi isn’t the only Taxi service in the country. So it would seem a bit extreme to block a sale of one taxi service. At the end of the day no one is forced to use it.
At least that’s how I understand it.
I don’t see any particular benefit to the increase in American troops on Danish soil when all Trump has done is threaten us. But our politicians do like to “play nice” with the US, much to the chagrin of the Danish people.
But we’ll see how it all turns out, I guess.
They are copying every other european country by cosying up to usa and because politicans are stupid
Why does the USA need those bases, especially since they said that Europe should defend itself?
Its easier to fly to Greenland from there.
They have a base in Greenland if they want to fly to Greenland. If anything this shows that the Greenland story was just there to flood the zone.
For their benefit, not for the benefit of Europe.
Believe me when I say that not only were the people not asked, the politicians even wanted to limit the information we got about it. They are fully aware how unpopular the idea is.
Pathetic, just pathetic
So much about looking after european interests
A couple of years ago it was unveiled that Denmark was spying on the rest of Europe for the US so I’m not really surprised. We’ve all got massive boners for the Americans here in the north.
Yes, but thats not exclusive to scandinavia, you can see examples like this all over eu, unfortunately (eu leaders are just puppets controled by washington)
Not surprising. Denmark is Scandinavia’s biggest dick rider of USA
Congrats to the winner of the worst idea of the year competition… so far.
