Thought about Jordan Peterson was put into a coma to get over his addiction to sleep aids. The drugs he took would have killed him if he went cold turkey, same with alcohol, but with other drugs it’s perfectly fine to go cold turkey.
Like I could see if you have an addiction to pain meds and cravings are too much
I am skeptical of the efficacy. So no, not without some serious studying on the practice, a doctor’s recommendation, and at least one second opinion. Comas aren’t without their risks.
Yeah other guy pointed out medical comas have resulted in deaths. When I quit smoking I had cravings for weeks, except for the last time I quit (i just accepted I lost my vape). Weed gummies I can see coma not working since craving are related to availability
It actually was a real therapy done in another country using tranquilizers.
It’s not considered effective and is not currently done. It’s from like the 60s-70s
It will result in you being addicted to tranquilizers once you wake up. Also a lot of people died.

There is also insulin comma therapy. Also high risk of death. Not considered a legitimate therapy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulin_shock_therapyThat one is nearly 100 years old out of date.
Peterson, as usual , spreads lies and creates real world harm.
Dang they used coma to treat schizophrenia. I’m wondering if those deaths contributed to how we treat come patients today. Also barbiturates do kill people when they quit.
That would explain why Peterson had to go to Russia to get coma treatment
Don’t pay attention to Jordan Peterson.
Waaa your telling me that a guy that got screwed over by his child, had issues sleeping and eating, and needed a coma to death with an addiction isn’t worth paying attention too
Exactly my point.
I don’t have any pressing addictions right now but I’d still enter a coma just for the good sleep and possible trip to Silent Hill
Come on down to silent Hill we got all the demons like Benadryl man and ozempic monsters
No because most likely it wouldn’t work.
Hmmmm
That’s just one step and doesn’t break addiction, you need a mental shift and life change to stay away from the drug that holds you
I would assume that you get past physical cravings and make quitting drugs easier
I wouldn’t know, I don’tstuggle with that. Russell brand being clean more than 7 years from heroin, said that the craving never went away.
