Will they also join the banks that don’t require Google Services on their phones?
I’m using N26 on GrapheneOS without Google services. Works fine.

I believe it’s only used for push notifications, SafetyNet/Play Protect are not necessary.
Is there any bank that doesn’t require that?
A few, but I don’t know if it’s coincidental or desired. They keep babbling about “security”, but is reliance on Google really security?

As far as I know Google pay is not supported. It is however an open source implementation of the google Play services. It will still talk to google services but apparently send fewer data.

There’s garmin pay and Sparkasse and Volksbank have their own service
That’s great news. I thought about opening an account with them for a while, for a bit of ETF/Stock fun. Wero’s a nice bonus.
