    I uninstalled my ‘translate’ extensions a while ago already. I heard that there may be something fishy about them. Now i am missing them dearly. Is there any trustworthy one left for Firefox?

        Yes, that’s for whole web pages. But sometimes, just part of the page are in a different language, like, say, one of the comments in this thread would be in a language I don’t know. There it’d be great to just mark it and right-click it.
