for anyone interested in picking a lane:

        • rap: here, specifically, is how america is fucked
        • punk: I’M MAD AS HELL AND I’M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE
        • funk: they want to see us sad, but i refuse to be
        • bluegrass:

in 1872 my pappy was born on the coal fields of eastern kentucky. his mother loved him even though he didn’t look a thing like his daddy. his daddy loved him too. he looked just like the mine boss. you see back then the only way to make ends meet was for the woman of the family to supplement the income of her husband with sex work. but they loved him for being their son regardless of what he looked like. but i swear to fucking god, if i ever meet that sumbitch James Donald Bowman i’m going to break this goddamn banjo over his fucking head for reperpetuating my suffering by pretending to speak for me. because i love jesus, and that’s what jesus would have done. he whipped bankers, afterall

Minneapolis cops? Who knows? Those guys are all over the place. This was the neighborhood where the cop murdered George Floyd, as he looked into the camera and dared anyone to do anything about it. He’s in prison now.

Don’t expect much from Minneapolis Cops.

In germany, where I live, we also have the freedom to assemble. if two rights collide, the answer is not always easy. A quick google gave me an example of people comlaining about a noisy midnight demo, and the police stating that the freedom to assemble overrules the right of quietness at night. Of course the police is not the final judge of this, but at least it shows that things are not as clear cut as you make it sound.

In America, they’d probably just tell him to get rid of the drums, and arrest him if he didn’t comply. Maybe.

There’s about an equal chance they just bomb into there, throw him around, destroy his drums, and drag him to jail, and leave his busted up gear behind to get stolen.

Depends entirely on their mood at the moment.

I canceled my Hilton Honors account.

Fuck they were SO GOOD for pet friendly travel.

But wherever there was a Hilton Garden Inn there’s USUALLY a Hyatt Place too, and they are also pretty reliably pet friendly. Not owned by the same people either, I checked.

Until I discover what they’ve done wrong as I’m sure its something.

Most drummers are single. They aren’t great conversationalists on account of being deaf, and kind of dumb, too.

Make every other guest complain, check out, commit to never staying in a Hilton again, etc. Make Hilton pay a price for supporting MAGA.

And if I work there, I’m spitting in their drinks, pissing in their soup, using ground beef that was left out all night, leaving a hot dog under the bed to spoil, not changing their towels, etc. Whatever I can think of to make their stay unsatisfying.

This is a better answer, or even just so you can make a getaway.
I dont think most regular people would realise how much drum gear is but cymbals are worth like (USD)$350-550 each, and cymbal stands, thrones and other brackets/hardware can be $50+ each, kick pedals can easily be in the thousands and not to mention the drums themselves.
A dick with a raging hard-on for violence and low emotional IQ (aka the target audeince for this performance) could easily come ruin your day.

You’re describing top-of-the-line gear. I’m a guitarist, and I’m not showing up with my best axe. I’m going to use that old beater that I don’t mind using as a weapon if necessary. We aren’t look for a nuanced, insightful performance here, just loud and obnoxious, and you can easily do that with a shitty instrument.
