My desktop gpu is an rx470 4gb.
It’s only slightly more powerful than the steamdeck. I’ve been waiting for the day when modern gaming can comfortably be done on an igpu.
I think we are basically there now.

Someone said that valve does not want to upgrade the Steamdecks cpu regularly that way it can act as a baseline for games to target.
I kind of like this approach. I think so many devs focus on making everything bleeding edge when most of us would be happy playing with low settings.
Maybe the steamdeck will lead to further optimizations to these games down the line and maybe games that are early in development will try to target the steamdeck for the minimum spec.
Starfield and bg3 were too far along in development when steamdeck game out for them to optimize for it.
I’ll be happy to see how it runs though.
At least the x key works on my phone.
I can’t wait until phones can be docked to act as desktops.
I know Samsung Dex does this, but my understanding is that it’s not really well supported.
Thanks for this.
I have a genuine question.
My wife’s MacBook Air has 8gb of ram, my desktop has 16gb of ram.
Why do phones need so much ram?
Still scrolling to find a game to play 😂
I just started using an android for watching. I’m using newpipe. Is there a different app yo use to get sponsorblock?
What if he really does choke or what if the bite is wildly small or what if he dies mysteriously in the coming weeks?
If this man isn’t a standing picture of health, it will have a negative effect.
I’m guessing someone will have to figure out the algorithms through reverse engineering for each site then put together an extension. I will need to have some kind of vpn to change the ip address though.
update The best way to fight this is to make it illegal.
Websites can also dingier print you by your browser settings and extensions.
So, having a lot of extensions can defeat the purpose of privacy.
I try to keep default settings and a minimal number of extensions.
Thanks! I was thinking about doing the exact same thing. Although, I rarely am playing switch exclusives at this point. But I’m sure I’ll do a second run of totk in a few years.
Thanks! I don’t do any multiplayer stuff except for stardew valley, but no so much anymore.
I think the steam deck will satisfy me.
I played that unreleased remaster a couple years so. It’s so fun. I played the original as a kid and this was the first time I was able to complete the game in the hardest difficulty.
I did not bother trying to unlock cheats. That game got really hard on the hardest mode.
It took me hours and hits to beat Aztec on the hardest mode. Somehow I still remembered the secret path for the golden gun and was able to beat the final level on the first attempt.
I live in a third world country, but I am not from here and because of that I earn a pretty good wage compared to the local population.
The other night, I was walking home with my wife and it felt really cyberpunk at night.
On the street there were a bunch of little stalls and shops selling second hand clothes, or cheap quality phone cases and chargers.
In the distance there were these huge condo buildings and behind us were the skyscrapers of the business district.
The streets were filled with people walking to and from their destination as they don’t have cars, or can’t book a ride on their phone. The trails have huge lines and are packed. Packed so dense that I was once worried my wife couldn’t breath.
That’s a good point. I have to remind myself, that there’s no point in emulating switch as I have one and most of the games have a pc version. So I can just play the pc version of the game.
Have you tried using the emudeck software? It seems that it kind of self configures.
I have the first switch version, so it was pretty easy to mod and the screen should be about the same as the steam decks. But I bed the oled switch is really nice to look at.
Thanks for the heads up, I was a little concerned about battery life.
To be fair, it was a really fun game. They did a great job with it. In fact, I’ve been itching to play it again.
