Oh yes, another ““accidental”” deployment of a feature that just got accidentally thought up, implemented and deployed.

Typically the top 3 biggest PITA common issues was GPU, WiFi and trackpad, in that order. Every. Time.
Nvidia drivers are literally the reason I keep going back to windows on my gaming rig. Any time I get a Linux install working the way I like it, within 6-10 months the graphics would shit the bed and I’d fight with it until I gave up and went back just to have a working is with minimal after work IT bullshit.
All my servers are Linux tho. I’ll probably try again later in the year when 10 goes EOS
Worked great in the US, Nazi space karen definitely helped get trump elected
Why would the year, the least important, need to be first?
For proper ordering for one. ISO8601 is objectively the best way to label anything that might need to be ordered based on time. This forces data points to line up properly in chronological order, and makes it easy to time slice as needed.
And why are the pieces of the pyramid made so the ISO standard is the only one that looks right?
Because it’s the only one that goes from largest value to smallest. It’s first because you start from the largest as the base (year) and work down through size to seconds.
ss:mm:hh:DD:MM:YYYY would also order the numbers based on length, but would look terrible if represented like that
Agreed. And any sort of data analysis would be so much harder
You need to remember that the technical people may not have an issue with it, but the bean counters tend to be more stuffy and upright about shit. And a lot of clients are especially up tight in my experience. Something about paying you money and expecting standard business responses.
I wouldn’t give a shit if I saw that, but I absolutely would not send that up the chain if a junior sent me that screenshot (or I’d crop it down to the most useful info. Last thing I want to do is listen to some asshole c-level complain at me for 20 minutes about professionalism.
Interesting. Guessing that probably means I need to find a new trick when I go to work on newer servers. Damned microsoft…
It’s a good idea, but it will only ever be that with the way the US works. Getting 2/3 of Congress and the states to agree on anything is borderline impossible.
Try
Control printers
Much easier
The settings app is the new control panel. There’s just also the legacy control panel that they’ve been trying to remove for years. It’s such a shit show that I’ve memorized the run string for the applets I have to use frequently, because it’s a fucking nightmare trying to remember where they moved this in which version of the os.
What a shit take.
Yes, people should also be upset about Biden sending bombs to Israel, but that’s been going on for years and, unfortunately, is pretty much well worn ground.
But muskmelon throwing a fucking Nazi salute is absolutely worth all of this attention, because it shows how little they care to hide it and how open they’re going to be about this shit.
Deepseek actually doesn’t run that awfully when I run it locally (cpu only) in ollama, but it feels like it slowed down as the conversation went on with the default 7b model. The 1.5b runs decently though.
