ZorinOS is doing awesome for begginers, LinuxMint is also a reliable option that might makes you learn more about GNU/Linux OSes
If you’re comming from Windows and don’t want to be too much distabilized ZorinOS is probably one of the best.
Other great choice are:
- bazzite
- Linux Mint
- Pop_OS!
However CAD on Linux is not great, there is some free tools but they are so much more limited than the proprietary windows suite of tools. Maybe WinBoat could make your software run good enough.

Exactly, I started using it for that game!
I am using r2modman most of the time and it works well for the modded games I play on my machine. I uses Thunderstore so it might not have the biggest library of mods for all your titles but it’s worth mentioning imo.
Yeah I am pretty disapointed as I bought the GoG extension. I really liked the UX for my ChimeraOS and SteamDeck devices but it’s not worth a subscription in my opinion even at a discount…
Why using Suyu when there is objectively superior Yuzu forks such as Sudachi, Torzu or Eden (mainly from Citron’s team) ?

Bazzite still has experimental support for NVidia GPUs, you should use Nobara HTPC Nvidia ISO
4·7 months agoI own a Lift and use it with my Mac Book, it’s great. I use it with bluetooth but it also has a USB dongle. I uses other wireless logitech mices on GNU/Linux and had no issue using the dongle. I will try to test my Lift on a Linux machine using the dongle and let you know because it would be weird if not working.
In my opinion OS is software, many people are working on it and I don’t think their work is worth 0$ (maybe Windows being the exception lol).
I was looking for such a thing for my ChimeraOS machine. I like the dev’s honesty about his skills and will maybe do some bug reporting !
