Ctrl is already used my a large number of commands in POSIX shells. This is one of the places that I really like Apple’s solution (despite really not liking most of what they do). Super/GUI/Command + c/v is a great improvement in the terminal.

Fair enough. Those are things that I like to be able to use, however. Which makes nano/pico/micro a non-starter for me. Different strokes for different folks.
I like your thinking. Give me Firefox with a TUI and POSIX shell i/o redirection support.
One of the things that really, really annoys me when I get lazy and use a pre-bundled set of (neo)vim plugins is how every one of them uses mouse functionality. I only use the mouse to copy/paste from the terminal to system clipboard. I don’t want it hijacking him and entering visual mode.
How do I do regex or connect to an LSP with nano?
I’ve been using vim as my primary text editor and IDE for near a decade. I forgot that this was a thing so, I’ve been using visual mode like a peasant.
Completely off topic: Your username gave me a chuckle that I quite needed. Thank you.

That’s all that one needs to know. Once those leeches are involved as investors, it’s over. They demand enshitification from our destroy everything that they touch for a quick buck.
Nothing “potential” about it. :)
It’s your first date and she/he asks what type of music you like. What’s the guilty pleasure you won’t tell her/him about?
I love music and hate but being myself (AuADHD weeeee) so, they’re going to hear an honest answer. If they’re not down with my love of folk punk and what I classify as “shitty punk rock” (you just the kind - overly-compressed, terribly mixed, played by people who barely know how to tune a guitar), well, that’s fair enough. Same as if they aren’t up for my, AuADHD - neurodivergence can be a bit to handle.
Thank you for catching that.
I just thought it was like, an ability.
For me, it’s more a dis-ability as it makes it hard to concentrate on the conversation that I’m in or task that I’m doing.
I’ll give you two:
First, what I call “shitty punk rock” (no offense to the performers). I consider it a form of folk music as it is played by people who may or may not be talented or skilled but, they play it anyway. They have something to express and they choose to express it and passionately express it with such a low level of self-judgement that I envy. Years ago, I’d be in the pit but, I’m not cut out for it anymore. I’ll still support em as I can though.
My favorite though, absolutely has to be folk-punk. Whether singing originals or covers or punkified trad or tradified punk, I absolutely love it. Some recommendations would be Days’n’Daze, Defiance Ohio, and The Dreadnoughts.
I’m also a fan.
Of note Nick Cave has an album filled with pure brutality named “Murder Ballads” that can be a bit hard to get through for me, not for musicality or style but because it succeeds at embodying that term, “brutality”.
Yup. Maybe a bit bitter at US telecoms pocketing the subsidy money from the 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s, without delivering.

You know, if I can use vim bindings and regex, I might try it out. I tend to try to keep my neovim plugins fairly lightweight when I config myself. Not being electron is a big plus.
