No one should trust cameras. Even at home my house cameras are on their own vlan with no internet. How can professionals not implement something as easy as that.

But the vast majority of viruses focus on end users.

If the trend continues then maybe the hacker community will start focusing on Linux. Can you imagine “I don’t need a virus scanner, I use Windows, the under dog OS”

I’ve got the update waiting to be installed. I read the reviews and haven’t installed it. But it nags me every few hours.

I’ve been a Linux sysadmin for decades and Windows for the year 8 years or so. I started using Windows with an air of contempt, and still do. I hate myself for saying this, but Powershell is better than bash. Bash is very limited if you consider only bash. For bash to be useful you need the entire GNU suite with grep, cut, awk etc.

I find this to be a very cultural thing as to whether it’s acceptable or not. Where I live cats roam the streets, if an American visited here they would be horrified.

What CPU?

The list of unsupported CPUs is for OEMs licensing new computers as Windows 11 certified.

Nothing stopping you installing Windows 11 or upgrading to Windows 11 with an incompatible CPU.

The only item that requires a hack is the lack of TPM. Now that I still don’t understand.

Also, Office by default installs with licensing configured per machine but can be installed so it is licensed per user.

They should get fined for being ambiguous and be forced to call it what it is.

That’s unfortunate. My issue was pre COVID. They introduced booking requirements during COVID and kept the policy in place. Lame.

They striked in my town a few years ago. There wasn’t any litter on my street as we were still able to put the trash in the car and take it to the refuse dump ourselves. It was an inconvenience but you shouldn’t just leave the trash outside to fester. I ended up taking mine and my 2 neighbours trash as they are both elderly.
