I figured that out yesterday, but it took me some time and I was really confused.

I know, but I’ve had that with every device, no matter the charging speed.

My OnePlus 8T lasted over five years and to be honest would probably still be ok, and it charged at 65 W. That’s way faster than the pixel 8 pro I use now. Batteries have gotten way better than they used to be.

You can potentially split the battery into multiple cells so that you don’t charge them with the full voltage (if I understood correctly what OnePlus introduced some years ago). But still, that’s a lot. And potentially a lot of heat you have to disperse as well.

The new OnePlus ce4 or however it’s called has one. But it’s entry to low mid level I’d say.

It will for sure be later, but right now… Maybe not? Not sure.
