  • Honestly just memorize the fundamental ones and google everything else you need on the fly. You’ll naturally memorize the ones you use often.

I’ve used VIM for nearly 5 years and the only keybinds I have memorized are ‘a’ (append right here) ‘A’ (append to end of line) ‘i’ (insert right here) and I use the arrows to navigate instead of the letters. The only incantation I have memorized is %s/text to replace/text to replace with/g (find and replace through entire file. Remove the /g to find and replace only the next instance).

Once you have those, you can basically do anything that you’re capable of in a normal editor. If you need to do something beyond that, search “how to x in vim” and click the first stack overflow link that comes up, hasn’t failed me yet

I’m more confident than ever that bi/pan is secretly the most common sexuality.

In many ancient societies, being bi was the norm. Like it was actually considered close minded to be straight or gay.

Obviously this isn’t proof but I have it memorized so I’m gonna spout it off anyway, there’s a scene in doctor who where a lesbian companion gets hit on by a Roman centurion, he tells her “oh. Well I’m just normal. You know, guys and girls. But that’s okay [other centurion] is like that too.”

  • This is my struggle right now. Thankfully, I actually did develop my learning skills a handful of times but for the vast majority of my life I’ve just used pattern recognition to get through school. I managed to get about halfway through my degree before I started having to actually learn, but who knows if even properly learning anything will land me a job lol
