Did you literally ignore my example? How does moving out of the way of an ambulance address either of my two points? For them to get out of the way, the ambulance had to reach the protestors. In doing that, the ambulance is already substantially delayed by avoidable traffic congestion.

I think ones that block roads are counter productive and just hurt their own causes. They should go bother the actual companies or politicians. Disrupting road ways is just stupid. You have no idea who you are impacting when you do that. Nobody would find it acceptable if my version of protesting was running around spraying a machine gun in the air. Do you think blocking roads can’t get people killed?

I think you might be the one projecting. I meant no tone that you are inferring. I think both men and women collectively need to communicate more effectively, and everyone needs to stop speaking broadly about large demographics being represented by loud flashy minorities.

I don’t even grant the premise that either sex is as the other is claiming to be, only a small fraction are and that’s all that’s being interacted with.

No men or women in my entire life fits any of these narratives, but the narratives are all you hear about. They pervade social media just like bad news does in our 24/7 doom scroll world. The majority of people are just decent. But we pretend that every woman is a 304 and every guy is a rapist.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not part of those groups. But I do see them growing and the issue is that those groups are the only ones courting those people.

Mainly referring to the growing disconnect between men becoming more socially conservative while women are becoming more socially liberal. There’s a growing demographic of men, at least in the USA, that are being welcomed into movements like MGTOW and Passport Bros, while women on the left are going on TV and social media talking about how they would rather run into a bear than a man, men are useless and have no place in society. Meanwhile what’s in it for men? Get married, get divorced, wife takes everything, takes the kids, takes the house, even if they are the ones initiating divorce most often.

Men are being raised to not be desirable? Which men? The upper 10% of men that 90% of women think they have a shot at marrying because they sleep with that 10% that has a rolladex of girls. Meanwhile those women often have 10 guys in the friend zone ready to go when they hit the wall at 30-40 and finally want to settle down with all their relationship trauma.

As opposed to modern women, who are sterling paragons that men would be crazy to not marry.

Even if it doesn’t, at minimum you will have more fun and have friendlier interactions. Ultimately, we have to remember we are voluntarily playing these games for our own enjoyment. If they make us miserable, we need to change the way we interface with the game or just stop playing them.

I played Overwatch until my mind realigned. Not joking. I was frustrated that running into irrational people in that game would in turn make me irrational. I figured, the opposite should be true too. Rationality should be able to calm and blunt irrationality. And once I realized that, it kind of became an academic exercise to me. I was nice and friendly on purpose and the quality of all my matches went through the roof. Even games that were loses were agreed to be excellent matches by both teams. Which sounds like ridiculous fiction, but it’s the truth.

It’s both. We are both simultaneously capable of free will, yet are also products of the universe that created us. So my answer to your question, in my humble opinion, is yes. Yes, we can victim blame while simultaneously lamenting the corporate landscape.
