Well, it is pretty to look at. Wonder if the diagram is confusing or if I’m just dumb, because it took me a bit to figure out that circle size corresponded with millimeters. That’s the struggle of knowing 1) you’re not an omniscient genius but also 2) data can be presented in a way that’s confusing to most people, but not being a design expert so you don’t know if you’re just dumb or if it’s a design flaw. And you don’t want to start criticizing stuff when you are not an expert and saying something blatantly wrong, so you just wonder and maybe type out this paragraph online.

I have a use it till it breaks philosophy, but if the thing breaks and I cannot figure out how to fix it myself (or do not think I can do it safely) and have no repair shop to go to, I do have to buy something new. And I am not ready to live so simply I have no smartphone, computer, or WiFi. I do not want to buy more than I need but I am also not interested in anything like “return to monke.” Do not need a TV or Alexa, but I use my rice cooker and hot water boiler daily and you can pry those electric conveniences (that save me so much money in the long run for all the times I pick their convenience over eating out or buying hot drinks from a store) out of my cold dead hands.

For what it is worth they did say they read a ton of neuroscience articles, although yes, engineer without a neuroscience background, so take this with a grain of salt. I think it’s at least a dude earnestly trying who did try to do his research.

As an out of touch person, I have a possible explanation for this: have you ever said “shit” repeatedly as something goes wrong? I imagine some people would write a story where that happens and write it as “shitshitshit” and not “shit shit shit”. But outside of that situation I have never seen or heard “shitshit”.
