Is it? I try to keep myself in the know car-wise and I really never saw a future where this wasn’t going to happen. The deadline is going to be pushed back multiple times before it is reached, and when we finally get there (mid 2040s IMO) it will be so watered down that it effectively says “Keep doing what you’re doing, good job guys.”

I read news of SATA SSDs spiking in price just a few hours ago. Gonna go to sleep now, expecting a spike in floppy disk prices when I wake up and punch cards tomorrow evening.
