It’s actually a “test things first and have a proper change control process” thing. Doesn’t matter if it’s open source, closed source scummy bullshit or even coded by God: you always test it first before hitting deploy.

Yeah, I totally get that, but how are there FOSS applications on iOS that aren’t side loaded? At best you can get paid ports/skins of open source software through the app store, but Apple changes developers a small fortune to put apps in the store, which generally equates to no free apps that don’t rely on ads or in-app purchases.
Please excuse my non-iOS using ignorance, but isn’t FOSS antithetical to Apple’s closed ecosystem and extreme limitations on side-loading?
Keywords there are ‘old Android’. I haven’t had a phone do that classic android slowdown in years.
Oh yeah hold on, lemme just pay my rent and credit card bill with Monero, oh right! They don’t accept any form of cypto

Same for me. Watched our whole house at the time slide off the foundation.
I hydroplaned for over a half mile on a straight section of highway doing 100kph. Thought I was going to die, but somehow the car got traction again just before I went off the road. I had 4 friends in the car who all slept through the whole thing.
Vote for the mediocre guy who won’t stop funding a genocide abroad, or don’t vote and watch your rights get stripped, the EPA get demolished, and the funding for Israel increased.
This is no longer an election about voting for the candidate that makes you feel good about your choice, it’s a vote for our own collective survival.
Why would Ubisoft change their tune now when every single game in their entire IP catalog requires an Ubisoft account? I don’t believe this for a second.
Report it to HR and ignore both of them, or if you really feel a need to make an effort to communicate with either of them, respond from your professional email and say, “I would prefer if we keep our interactions professional” and leave it at that.
If that’s not enough of a hint for them, you definitely need to escalate with HR.
It’s still a good game, and Arrowhead is trying to do right.
I agree with you except for the fact that Sony has yet to change the region lock out or remove the PSN account requirement on the Steam store listing. Talk is cheap and that’s all Sony has done so far.
Right now, Sony has yet to update the Steam listing to remove the PSN account requirement or the region lock out. Don’t update your reviews to positive yet. Talk is cheap and all Sony has actually done it put out a statement to appease fans and stop the damage.
An hour after this announcement was made, a tiny update was pushed via GamGuard to steam players and now there’s a .DLL file that’s being flagged by antivirus as a malware. My AV detects and cleans the file, making the game completely broken. There a Steam discussion about this issue and, surprise surprise, the file in question is used by GameGuard.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with Sony’s recent announcement of their patent for biometric harassment detection.
The game racked up over 10k negative reviews in 90 minutes yesterday. People are pissed. There’s also the issue of PSN only being available in a about a third of all countries.
I just uninstalled the game over this and I have 350+ hours.
And if you aren’t planning to vote for Biden, please go read Project 2025 and then explain your logic again, because what Trump and the Christian right has planned will be actual fascism, right in our own backyard.
Living in the US for most of my life, and voting in every election, I can tell you your assumptions are incorrect: a few states control most of the power here due to the electoral college, and everything down to state and local initiatives gets lobbied into the ground by special interests.
I think part of that is how many echo chamber instances have defederated from each other.
