Now Russia will release 10k emails three days before an election like they did Hillary. Doesn’t matter if the emails are complete garbage and just ordinary business, the damage and chaos is still done.
Crank it up pops, it’s still withstanding!
This is the Lemmy Sino-Russian propaganda farm version of a boomer meme. What a fucking joke, I literally laughed
You poor guys must be even more persecuted than Christians imagine themselves to be 😂
Caw caw mother fuckers
I believe you are thinking in terms of a Turing-machine-like computer. I don’t think it’s possible today to “suspend” the bits in a quantum computer. I also don’t think it’s possible to know if the simulation could be paused (or even “added to” without losing its initial state).
I’ve had better luck after enabling the systemd nvidia-suspend.service (only for Nvidia cards, obviously).
comparing ad breaks to: hacking our infrastructure, spreading disinformation, sowing discord and tilting our elections is the real humor.
Yeah I get that, but it’s more about stepping on the water hose.
Also, it’s a hell of a lot easier to police inside our own borders. Guess what happens to the nice folks who run this shit within our borders?
Then enlighten me! Explain to me this great societal benefit we get from leaving them on the 'net. Because it sure seems 90% of what’s coming out of Russia is: hacked infrastructure, spreading disinformation, sowing discord and tilting our elections. I understand that it’s unfair to the Russian people, but at what point do we stop drinking the poison that is being dished out by their government? We shouldn’t all be a victim to their government’s motivations.
Yeah I get that, but it’s more about stepping on the water hose.
I never said the Russian people are bad. I said it seems the majority of Russian influence on the greater Internet seems to be motivated by ill intent. I was merely asking at what point do you take action to prevent them from: hacking our infrastructure, spreading disinformation, sowing discord and tilting our elections? Seems like a high price to pay to share memes on Lemmy if it means the Russian government has free rein to do as they please.
I’m all for an open and free Internet, but at what point do we cut off bad actors whose largest “contribution” is to spread and manipulate through disinformation? I can’t imagine there’s a wealth of culture and good will coming out of Russia via the Internet today, but it seems I hear about this week after week.
I bet you could stick those electrodes in your butt and probably get a promising signal spike
I also would like to know what’s going on with this guy’s space bar
Queue “I can’t believe the leopards ate my face”
Will definitely give these a look, thank you for the updates.
Can you speak to your experience with any of these? Would love to hear a first hand account!
Would really love to but have yet to see basic phone functionality covered in a way that isn’t a painful compromise. Stock Android is a privacy nightmare, which is why I left it. I had some fun with Cyanogenmod back in the day, maybe there’s another de-googled Android distribution around today but since I last checked I couldn’t find one that runs on modern mainstream hardware without really jumping through some crazy hoops to establish root.
There was a lot of publicity a few weeks ago about “the year long cruise” that ended. I haven’t tuned in, but apparently quite a few people on the cruise vlogged their travels. There were apparent conflicts, and with both sides wanting to say their part I’m sure more misery was shared publicly than one would normally air. This might just border on reality TV though, I haven’t really looked into it.
