I have a quest 2, but when I look for steam link in steam, it just says to download the app from your favourite app store. There is no download link.
I can’t seem to find it online anywhere.

You get it on other app stores.
If you have access to steam, it should have remote play built in if you can do it. It adds an extra option to the install or play button in the Steam interface.
You don’t need to install it in Steam, it’s built into the launcher.
You just install it on whatever device you’re using to stream.
It’s in the app store on the quest itself. Source: I installed it from there earlier on my Q2.

OP might be talking about the steam link app, and not the steam link. But yes, the post is confusing.
