The existence of those videos are poor representations of reality. The algorithm loves content that tells us what we want to hear

Go watch Fox News and see how every problem they talk about Trump has the last word on. How they make Republicans feel like they’re constantly being stepped on and condescended by Democrats. How Trump is taking a personal and active role in solving problems

Is it all bullshit? Obviously. But it’s the same as the algorithm. People watch things that tell them what they want to hear

I feel like people consistently forget just how much of bubbles both we and them exist in - we see those videos because they are extremely optimal content for engagement on the left.

And they see only positive, propagandistic coverage of what’s happening, and the dumbest caricatures of us and the people they disagree with possible.

That is the nature of how the bubbles we exist in shape our perception. Like you can scroll through a million top posts on r/ tumblr in action or kotaku in action and think that every liberal or leftist that exists is dumb as a brick and never makes any good points. We can scroll through a million posts of trump voters who are realizing what he’s doing actually hurts them but that doesn’t mean they’re reprentative of the whole.

There are lots of those cases available because of the law of large numbers, and schadenfreude means those posts will always do super well and then people will try to post more of them

I feel like I see polls between 40% and 70% of republican support whenever a new poll shows up. It depends on who they ask and where they ask. We will never actually know what everyone thinks unless they literally ask everyone.

They are. They answer polls about trump as if they’re being asked about the republican party. Which they will never leave or criticize - unless it becomes woke!

The question is will that happen, under The USA King ‘The Crazy Don’ or not happen at all, because ‘Global Warming’ has cause The Living Earth’s & All Living Beings’ (including us) extinctions. Before ‘The Crazy Don’ was elected President, I am talking about 2018, because ‘The USA Supreme Court’ has made him a King now, I was telling everyone that ‘Global Warming’ is the greatest threat, it still is, it will cause the extinction of everything, long before The USA 2nd Revolution from Capitalists (now,I wonder if I should have said Feudalists) & 100s of Millions will die, just in The USA. Thus The 2nd USA Revolution will never happen.

You have no idea how stupid some people really are. I was just talking to a guy a few weeks ago and he calls himself a democrat, hates dems and repubs, and loves and voted for Trump because he “tells it like it is”.

No amount of reasoning can fix some of these people, they are fundamentally broken.

Tax breaks for the rich. The difference is the fucking piles of shit who identify with Dems yet still own FAR too much to be anything but reprehensibly selfish pieces of trash.

It’s a survey. The same 3% of people that will answer that the moon is made of cheese.

There’s also probably a handful that are doing better personally out of sheer chance, or misread the question.

Depending on how the question was phrased, they could be Republicans who registered Democrat to vote in Democrat primaries.
