Great Scalzi is not maga, can I continue to read his books or is there some other skeletons?

He has been very active in BlueSky since its early closed beta days. From what I can tell, he seems to be a descent guy.

Richard Kadrey is another author on Bluesky that seems very much against MAGA bullshit.

Just based on his books I’d be really surprised if he was MAGA. He’s got a lot of fun sci-fi ideas, but he also spends a lot of time championing virtues like ingenuity, empathy, and honesty.

That and the asteroid on asteroid action. That is a person who likely isn’t puritanical about sex.

But he’s a human-first alien-second xenophobe, according to his scifi series about alien races trying to take down Earth.

(I’m kidding, I’m kidding, but I honestly saw him as a Stephen King type, and glad to know he’s not)

I was also thinking that if Scalzi can write the Interdependency series that contains gender neutral titles (Emperox) and several of the characters is gay/bi, he can’t be maga.
