I had a really sad moment this morning. I put on my smartwool snowboarding socks that I bought back in 2008/9 to learn to snowboard in and noticed that my heels were really cold. I sat down and looked, all the wool is gone, there is just elastic like a pair of tights, I could see through them. I’m wearing them for the last time. Rest in peace comrades you have been up many mountains and kept me warm and comfortable the whole time.

To sock Valhalla with you.

The elastic still held up really well, and the wool was still super soft and comfy. I would, and have, bought more over the years but these were my first and will always remain in my heart.

I spent a lot of money on 10 pairs of darn tough socks years ago and haven’t paid for socks since but have replaced almost every pair for free! Except the cost of postage, but that’s cheap.
