I had to look this up because it’s so ridiculous

“The potential to deliver ‘one shot cures’ is one of the most attractive aspects of gene therapy, genetically-engineered cell therapy and gene editing. However, such treatments offer a very different outlook with regard to recurring revenue versus chronic therapies,” analyst Salveen Richter wrote in the note to clients Tuesday. “While this proposition carries tremendous value for patients and society, it could represent a challenge for genome medicine developers looking for sustained cash flow.”

    This is disgusting

That’s what they meant by innovation. Innovative ways to increase profits at any and all costs, including human life and human suffering.

Louisettes are too kind a solution for capitalists in health care.

I think it’s abundantly clear that in a purely capitalist society, it is in the government’s and its oligarchs’ best interests to keep the citizens sick. Not terminally ill or seriously sick, because then they couldn’t work. Just enough to keep them miserable but healthy enough to go to work.

Okay, for those who cant read Latin (nor have it translated for them)

A patient cured is a customer lost.

Nah I wouldnt take people’s money (not more than what i need to survive) if I was given the opportunity. There is a reason why I am not in their place. This system gives the greediest the most power.
