It’s more confusing to explain their hatred towards it and all their religious bullshit on it rather than it itself.
Also, probably harder to explain some of their repressed sexuality honestly. “we’re all attracted to the opposite sex! you just have to hold it down!”
“God keeps testing me with all these sexy, hairless young men! But I’ll pass this time, I’m sure of it! Homosexuality is a choice!”
An Islamic preacher in Turkey is under fire for suggesting that men without beards “cannot be distinguished from women” and can cause “indecent thoughts.”
This is so true. It’s like that with a lot of things. It’s easy (and sort of fun) to explain people’s differences. But explaining why everyone hates people different than them and people that think and believe in things they don’t is so much harder. Mostly because there’s no real good reason other than pretty much “'cause people suck” lol
I think straight people assume explaining homosexuality means you have to tell your kids how gay sex works in explicit detail.
Yep, this was definitely traumatizing. You can tell by how quick their brain had to shut out this conversation and detour to a different topic. If you have this conversation too often, they will develop ADHD from that!
I’m pretty sure even just one dose of the gay will give ADHD.
I think if you have this conversation that often they’ve got bigger issues with their memory…
I like the story:
Little Timmy: Daddy why does Uncle Herb not have a wife? Daddy: Because Uncle Herb is gay. Little Timmy: Then why doesn’t he have a husband? Daddy: Because, Uncle Herb is poor, ugly and still lives in Grandma’s basement.
True gay acceptance.
When I was a child, the only thing I couldn’t understand about trans people was that who wants to be a girl, since they have lame toys like dolls.
Then my transphobic stepmother told me my eyeglasses are expensive so “men can get themselves castrated and have breast implants”. Then far-right blogs of Hungary told me that trans women are actually gay men, who want to convert men to homosexuality.
I first seen a trans person in… porn. Where else should a kid learn that. Not knowing what I was looking at, I kept searching around for explanation. Woman with a penis, how is that possible? I kept searching, but to no avail. Eventually I just came to the conclusion that I probably witnessed a rare birth defect and moved on.
It didn’t even click together when I was like 13/14 and anti-trans, because my parents told me they’re perverts who should be locked up. In my mind, that above was still just an unrelated birth defect, after all, that was clearly a woman.
The first trans person I met was a nurse. I had to get blood drawn once a month for years as a kid and teen and when I was about 12-14 there was a trans woman who I almost always ended up assigned to. Im sure I was bit weird about it at first, but I warmed up to her real quick, asked some admittedly pretty rude questions (unknowingly ofc. She was a champ about it, bless her) and very rapidly realized that 1) trans people exist and 2) I liked 100% of the trans people I had met at that time.
Very sweet lady. Always asking questions in that genuinely curious way, and she’d remember your answers too. Genuinely just loved people and enjoyed being helpful. Also had a crazy stock of candies in her bag. I think she’d legit ask all her regular patients what sweets they like, stock up on them, and give them out literally everyday, because she always had that shit locked and loaded. Class act of a lady. I hope you’re still alive and thriving, Ms. Vicky! The world needs more people like you!
You can always tell trans women from cis women because trans women are all ugly and manly looking! But they’re so sexy that it makes straight men want to suck dick! This is a perfectly reasonable stance! Do not ask questions!
And? Could they have a biscuit? How am I supposed to know whether being gay is OK if you leave questions unanswered like that.
What sort of biscuit was it anyway. Was it the healthy kind with the fibre?
Based on “mummy” I’m guessing we’re looking at biscuits in the British sense, which are generally sweet baked goods more akin to a cookie
homosexuality is rather easy to explain - yesyis-
