Sometimes, that’s okay. In many folks’ opinion at the time, and now, the Nuremburg Trials were a good idea.
There may credibly be arguments over whether Russia’s behavior merits such exceptional treatment (obviously I believe it does)
Counter-whaddaboutism with regarding Israel’s appalling bad behavior isn’t relevant, but I would support similar treatment for them, except that is obviously not happening
