I have wondered if I could do this and then fill the hole with hose pipes and pump water through it. The water can then go through a heat exchanger next to me and blow cool air at me. So basically a PC watercooling radiator, pipes and a pump.
Yeah, just not sure how deep you really need to go. I don’t really want to pay someone to do it but I have a spade I can dig with. Could get equipment if it doesn’t cost much but from what I can tell its generally quite expensive.
I do feel like the speed of the heat exchange might be a bit slower, even if the gradient is higher… though maybe a higher gradient faciliates the speed too
