I don’t know about Pixelfed but I’m pretty active on Mastodon and I get enough engagement there. I’d say it compares to Instagram like Lemmy compares to reddit.
i dont want to do mastdon and its clones like planora or something is a failed experiment to copy what x / twitter did . to make that type of layout to work there need to be a lot more stuff and the big problem is people will always see new stuff instead of reddit like layout where people also see old stuff and thats why lemmy survived and mastadon did not
Pixelfed is dead just like mastadon . Loops was the only hope but someone on dbzero said loops is also fucked

By that same logic, Lemmy is dead, so what are you doing here?
No it’s not . You replied people reply is the proof but on pixelfed their are no replies. Dead area
Maybe your photos are just shit. I get engagement. Which, by the EXACT FUCKING STANDARD that you just used, PROVES it’s not dead.
So… If you think that wonder what you could do about it? If only there was somewhat to get involved and make a difference…

but that is just the thing, you need to make the stuff. That is how it grows.
mastodon isn’t dead.
Ofcourse it has users but no replies make it dead
