Can I cannibalise the screen from one and put it into the other?

Searching tinternet shows they’re both 12.1 inch screens, but I don’t know if that means they identical.

    It says that there are many screen FRUs, but looks like there are only two types (which may or may not be compatible, I’m not sure): “12.1-in. WXGA TFT” and “12.1-in. WXGA+ TFT”. I would somehow check what resolutions your screens have and if they are the same then they should definitely be compatible

    The 1440x900 screen is exclusive to the X200s and has a LED backlight instead of CCFL. It can be swapped into the X200, gets you more pixels and battery life. No personal experience with a swap the other way round.

    Edit: the entire lid assembly has to be swapped, not just the LCD.
