What didn’t you like? I’ve had multiple Pixels and no major issues.
Border agents are unlikely to have access to cloud data. Police definitely do, but I just don’t have a cloud backup of my phone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I use Grapheneos’ seedvault backups to USB. It’s not a very smooth process, so they’re planning on replacing it. I’ve tested backups and restores, though, and they definitely work.
Maybe a few in Switzerland. I haven’t seen any news about it specifically.
You don’t have to. You can use cash, checks, crypto, gift cards, and more. It’s only credit cards (and probably almost all debit cards) that go through them.
Keep calling. Tell your friends. It’s already gotten MasterCard’s attention enough to make a statement.
True, but I’m not sure that an extension would have the necessary access to manipulate the browser like that. I don’t think it should. A malicious extension could do horrible things.
How does adding AI help their funding?
Same. But that shouldn’t be a factor in a professional publication.
For most people, that’s an acceptable trade, because they don’t want to maintain a library. And with Spotify, you get access to a much larger library than you could ever possibly keep.
Yeah, most of those you get out of the box. Even on Windows.
The point of a stable distro is reproducibility.
Nope. It should be reviewed by a human, and the response should be proportionate.
Why maddening? The active shooter response shouldn’t be all that different.
You should also share the solution for future readers.
Google that string. Looks like it’s the key for the wine repo, not related to what you’re doing. Remove the offending repo, or add the key.
Probably not. In the data center, a server has its own temperature sensors. But most people never use those either and just use AC for the whole room.
This isn’t going to affect Intel usage in the near future. Companies generally buy whatever is cheap and available. Dell, HP, etc rarely offer AMD as an option. And this is just ancillary Linux drivers, not a major make or break component.
Any chance it supports smart card cert auth? The only one I know of is putty, and I fucking hate putty.
No good enterprise management. Doesn’t run enterprise software.
Most people don’t really care what they use, they just want to be able to use it. If it doesn’t run their programs, it’s no good to them.
Companies don’t use it on the desktop because enterprise management sucks. There’s no equivalent to group policy. Ansible is not the same.
Technically only the kernel is Linux, but the userspace is all Google!
Okay technically technically it’s a modified kernel, and I’m sure there are plenty of parts of userspace that Google just imported without modification.
Software is complicated.
