That explains how (through force) not why.
Having your choice of dictatorship is not like democracy. Democracy is a method for creating policy. That’s quite different.

I don’t understand what yr talking about.
That doesn’t explain why though.
Elsewhere in this thread it has been offered that we do dictatorship because democracy won’t work here, because we can’t ensure one-vote-per-member, because people can have multiple accounts.
How might one do democracy then? I mean, is there a way? Can this engineering riddle be solved?
Yes, we are already discussing the multiple accounts thing. And much more efficiently than you.
It’s a society. It is governed. Right?
So, yes. We don’t do democracy because we can’t do proper voting. Because we can’t ensure one vote per member.
But if we could, would we?
Consider reddit. They could ensure that. Right? But they don’t do democracy. So that’s interesting.
And yet you didn’t answer the question.
You clearly don’t know what “straightforward” means.
Fediverse is a collection of dictatorships. The option to leave a dictatorship, or go to another dictatorship, doesn’t make it less dictatorshippy.
You know, it would be easier if you would just state your argument instead of being all cryptic and weird.
So yr saying that the fact that a person can have multiple accounts renders democracy nonworking? And that’s why we don’t do democracy?
Nontheless. Policy is dictated. That is the long and short of it.
