Yeah, but have you considered: money

This was supposed to happen in “a few weeks” from September 10th, btw. Meanwhile QPR2 is almost there and we just get QPR1. Can’t wait to see QPR2 source code by the summer of 2026!

The noose tightens. After this crap was implemented in the UK, half of the country should be up in flames in protests. But it wasn’t so other countries took note and felt confident doing the same thing.

Interesting how “active” they became in 2025. Before, we had one of those proposals failing and then a little bit of peace. Now it fails one time and next week they try again. Not only that, it doesn’t happen only in Europe, since many states in the USA implemented the age verification for 18+ sites (according to the AOL it’s 17 states counting from 01/01/2025), and also the entire thing happening in the UK.

Denmark is the country responsible for the chat control proposal so I think we all know where it’s going.

Denmark is the one spearheading chat control, btw.

Well, since I use Linux, Steam is the only platform that cares about my money. The competition chose not to support my system.

Amazing how bad it has gotten just in 2025 alone. We had:
-play integrity api
-changing the monthly security patches into embargoed proprietary blobs
-not releasing device trees for 10 series
-holding back the source code of QPR releases
-the upcoming app installation lockdowns
I guess Pinephone with a 20k mAh powerbank taped to the phone starts looking pretty good…
Oh, well, that “local only” feature didn’t last too long. After all, why waste perfectly good harvestable data?
