Yasmin Fahimi, chairwoman of the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), warned against a return to “neoliberal market policies,” saying many companies were seeking to make workers pay for management’s mistakes through wage cuts or job losses

She’s not wrong, but … no shit? And, return to neoliberal market policies? We have been doing that for decades.

True but I think more and more people are starting to realize the current government is a new low for human rights in a very very long time. They‘re governing the way you would expect a bunch of multi millionaires to do and are just as unpopular.

Workers always pay for management’s mistakes, that’s why they are the workers.

Management can do no wrong, they always get paid first.

Management gets fired all the time. At least upper management at large companies. Lower and middle management are basically just well paid workers. Only upper management of really large companies actually get insane wages for what they do. However compared to the owners of those companies those wages are jokes. For example Zipse the CEO of BMW got 8.2million€, but Susanne Klatten one of the owners got 518million€ in dividends.

Manager is just a shit title.

Management in corporate speak means executive leadership and they always get paid upfront.

Owners is a whole different discussion.

    slowpoke

The things they finally woke up to and started criticising are so old that the only appropriate reaction is this old meme.
